A prebiotic is a fundamental aspect of gut health. Prebiotics are non-digestible fibers that feed the bacteria living in your gut.

However, most prebiotics on the market can feed both harmful and beneficial gut bacteria, which can exacerbate digestive issues. 

MegaPre is designed to feed only friendly bacteria and to not activate SIBO.

MegaPre Capsules Suggested Use

Ages 2+: Start with 3 capsules daily, with or without a meal, for a week. Then increase to 6 capsules daily, with or without a meal, as tolerated. For children under 2, please consult with your healthcare practitioner.

MegaPre Suggested Usage

Start with 1/4 scoop daily for a few days (sipped in water over the course of the day, with or without food), then increase by 1/4 scoop every 3 days. If bloating occurs, go back to the previous dosage and stay there for 7 days before trying again. You can also incorporate the digestive supports (lemon, apple cider vinegar drinks, HCl, bitters, enzymes) or increase binders (Mega IgG 2000, Activated Charcoal, GI Detox).

Can I take MegaPre if I react to corn or dairy?

The MegaPre oligosaccharides are derived from non-digestible medium-chain carbohydrates of milk and corn but do not mount protein-mediated immune reactions. This product is gut-soothing, not gut-irritating, and does not contain the components of corn or dairy that habitually cause inflammation and reactions. 

Due to the fact that MegaPre contains only the fibers from daily and corn (but not the commonly irritating products such as casein and lactose), most people with sensitivities to dairy or corn do just fine with these products. 

Please consult with your doctor about any hesitations. This product is not recommended for you if you have ever experienced an anaphylactic allergic response to corn or dairy. However, most people (with lactose intolerance, casein sensitivity, corn sensitivity, etc.) will not experience difficulties with the forms of corn husks and dairy in this product.

Regardless, we still recommend titrating all of these gut products slowly and one at a time in order to watch for any response since food sensitivities are not all elucidated. We know that healing the gut will reduce or eliminate food sensitivities over time!
